With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Christopher A. Maurer of Schererville, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 20, 2025 at the age of 75. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Christopher A. Maurer to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his mother Doris; his brother Bruce; and his granddaughter Gracie. He is survived by: his sons, Chris (Martha), Greg, Rich (Kristen) and Dan (Janica); his grandchildren, Byron (Christa), Nolan, Colin, Finley, Lane, Miles and Hattie; his great grandchildren, Kenna and Lachlan; and his siblings, Beverly Thevenin (Bruce), Peggy Lenehan (Rick), David Maurer (Cynthia), Donna Cox and Laura Jercha (Daniel).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Faith Church (100 W 81st Ave, Dyer, IN 46311).
In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to be made in Chris's name to Hospice of the Calumet Area: WJ Riley Memorial Residence (https://www.hospicecalumet.org.) or The American Heart Association (https://www.heart.org.).
