He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Mary Meyer and Walter Meyer; his sister Barbara Hawkins; his wife Joyce Cogswell; his children, Donald Jr. (Susan), Robert (Cynthia), Michelle Ruhnke, Laureen Jones (James) and Keith; his grandchildren, Bradley Meyer, Kaitlin Burns, Amanda Lanxon (Derek), Elizabeth Ruhnke, Jillian Canete (Nicholas), Brian Meyer, Anne Werner (Phillip), Kayla, Kyle and Colleen Meyer; and his sister-in-law Phyllis Cook. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of the Calumet Area.
