It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jeannette Stefanich Blahunka of Schererville, Indiana, who passed away on December 8, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her daughter Dorothy Hart; her sister Dorothy Hojnacki (late Ray); her husbands, Joseph P. Stefanich and Steve Blahunka; and her parents, Bernard Lopacki and Helen Lopacki (Szymanski).
She is survived by: her children, Sandi Kreevich (Gerald), Joseph H. Stefanich (Linda) and Tom Stefanich (Anita); and her grandchildren, Chris Hart and Patti Hart.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Baran Funeral Home (1235 119th St, Whiting, IN 46394). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Adalbert Church (1340 121st St, Whiting, IN 46394).
