She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter "Lefty" Herald and Rosemary Herald. She is survived by: her husband Dave Miller; her stepdaughter Terri Sparenborg (Barry); her siblings, Steve Herald (late Sue), Priscilla Slagel (Jay), PJ Herald (Colleen), Dan Herald (Debbie), Joe Herald (Jackie), Bonnie Dwyer (Mark), Phil Herald (late Terri), Anne Marie Zatorski (Tim) and Claire Scardine (Buddy); and her caregivers, Jane Raymus and Jackie Toczydlowski. She is also survived by nieces and nephews; her 5 dear step grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Joan's name to Hospice of the Calumet Area or Ridge United Methodist Church.
