She was predeceased by: her husband Eugene J. Smith; her siblings, Carol, Mary, Agnes, John and Bernie; and her parents, Paul Thomas and Mary Thomas.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra Snearly-Vosberg (Bradley), Debbie Fielder (Richard) and Garret Smith (Susan); her grandchildren, Jennifer (Matt), Jaclyn (Brandon), Darren (Anne), Lauren (Thomas) and Dennis (Taylor); and her great grandchildren, Nathan, Nick, Greyson, Garret, Charles, Madelyn, Josie and Emmett.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Smits Funeral Home (2121 Pleasant Springs Ln, Dyer, IN 46311). A prayer will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (440 Joliet St, Dyer, IN 46311). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at the Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens (8178 S Cline Ave, Schererville, IN 46375).
