She was predeceased by: her spouse Terry L. Blummer; her siblings, Dorothy Bruinius (Bernard (Barb)), Jacqueline Van Ryn (George), Henry Hartog (late Bonnie) and Diane Decker (John); and her parents, Jack Hartog and Jennie Hartog.
She is survived by: her children, Lori Gouwens (Brian), Kris Olthoff (Dale) and Shelley Hoffman (Dan); her grandchildren, Brad Gouwens (Sara), Paige Gouwens, Micah Gouwens, Alyssa Niemiec (Ted), Grant Olthoff, Jake Olthoff (Maddie Dornack), Colin DeYoung (Olivia), Maddie DeYoung and Delaney Bultema (Jacob); and her great grandchild Jonas Niemiec.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Smits Funeral Home (2121 Pleasant Springs Ln, Dyer, IN 46311). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given Munster Church, 214 Ridge Rd. Munster, IN.
