She was predeceased by: her husband John E. Emmett, Sr.; her parents, John Legienc and Sophie Legienc; and her sisters, Victoria Mastey (Frank) and Helen Liss (Walter).
She is survived by: her children, John Emmett (Kathleen), Nancy Emmett, Dean Emmett (Tami) and Andrea Slasuraitis (Mel Speisman); her grandchildren, Cheryl Elliot (Charles), Carla Sierra (Michael), Kevin Emmett (Kimberly), Ashley Nusbaum (Ross), Allison Emmett and Abigail Emmett; her great grandchildren, Michael Elliot, Charlotte Elliot, Cambria Sierra, Camilla Sierra, Carter Emmett, Chase Emmett, Nora Rose Nusbaum and Beatrice Nusbaum; and her sister Theresa Sulski (late Steve).
Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Solan Pruzin Funeral Home (14 Kennedy Ave, Schererville, IN 46375). A prayer was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 4:15 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Michael the Archangel Church (1 W Wilhelm St, Schererville, IN 46375).
