She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Slivka and Marlene Slivka. She is survived by: her husband William Burke Sr.; her son William Jr. Burke (Nancy); her grandsons, Liam Burke and Jacob Burke; and her siblings, Pamela Helfen (L. Jan), Janine Slivka and Virgil Slivka (Lynne). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Susan's name to the Diocese of Gary Seminarian Education Fund.
