She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Bolt and Ada Bolt (Taylor); her former husband Lloyd Asche; her husband Wayne Smock; her grandson Chris Readling; her siblings, Margaret Wright, Voisel Messer and Cecil Bolt; and her siblings-in-law, Evelyn Bolt, Carolyn Bolt and Bill Bovard.

She is survived by: her children, Shane Smock (Jana) of Scipio and Dana Jones (Charlie) of Lafayette; her siblings, Colin Bolt of Indianapolis and Willow Bovard of Rising Sun; her grandchildren, Cara Maschino (Paul), Ashley Hales (Andy), Dylan Smock (Kenzi) and Abby Ethridge; and her great grandchildren, Bennett, Connor and Gavin.

Memorials may be given in honor of Hilda to Mercy Rescue and Adoption of North Vernon.
