With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jimmy Ray Asher of Scipio, Indiana, born in Hazard, Kentucky, who passed away on January 13, 2024 at the age of 79. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jimmy Ray Asher to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, William Asher and Zola Asher (Sturgill); his son Robert Dixon Asher; and his sisters, Joann Asher and Shirley Asher.

He is survived by : his wife Christine Dixon; his son Todd Asher of North Vernon; his siblings, Jerry Asher (Barbara) of Viper, Edward Asher of Jeff, Kentucky and Rosetta Cornett (Colson) of Slemp, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Jacob Asher of North Vernon, Katie Asher of North Vernon and Isaiah Asher of North Vernon; and his great grandchild Makala Asher of North Vernon.

Memorials may be made in honor of Jimmy through the funeral home to Jennings County Historical Society, Scipio Presbyterian Church, or Our Hospice of South-Central Indiana.
