Ruth E. Talkington Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth E. Talkington of Scipio, Indiana, born in Decatur, Indiana, who passed away on March 27, 2026 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon Dinn and Tish Garrison Dinn; her husband Ronald Talkington; her sons, Mark Allan Talkington and Matthew Wayne Talkington; and her great-nephew Aaron Collins.

She is survived by: her son Jon Michael Talkington; her daughter-in-law Elizabeth Talkington; her siblings, Brenda Garland, Vernon "Bud" Dinn and David Ronald Dinn (Lynn); her grandchildren, Alex (Daphne Talkington), Mindy (Wyatt Sidwell), Jacob Talkington, Sydney (Nick Seavers), Jon Michael Talkington II and Emily Talkington; her niece Tamara Collins; and her great grandchildren, Rose Marie and Lukas Sidwell.

Memorial donations may be made in her memory to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana through the funeral home.
