She was predeceased by: her parents, James Francis and Laura Francis (Noble); her husband Harold "Jimmy" Gibson; her daughter Laura Rose Gibson; and her sisters, Ruth Story and Polly Begley.
She is survived by: her children, Timothy Harold Gibson (Mamie) of Paoli, Indiana, Vivian Lynn Stidham (Robert) of Scottsburg, Indiana, Diana Louise Gibson of Columbus, Indiana, Melona Lisa Manuel of Seymour, Indiana and Kimberly Jean Gibson of Columbus, Indiana; her sister Shirley Fugate of Greenwood, Indiana.; and her grandchildren, Sabrina Stidham, Tommy, Chase Stidham, Brittany, Justin Gibson, Cory Gibson, Gina Marie Gibson, Dustin Mullins, Shanea, Cody Manuel and Jennifer. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Buchanan Funeral Home (115 N 2nd St, Austin, IN 47102). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
