The passing of Donald Boswell of Scottsburg, Indiana leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on July 13, 2025 at the age of 87. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, L. A. Boswell and Martha Mae Boswell (Ritter); his sons, William Boswell, Kenneth Boswell and Joseph Boswell; and his grandchild Taryn Vires.
He is survived by: his wife Bea; his children, James "Jim" Boswell, Steve Boswell (Charlotte), Anna Jentzen (Hank) and Karen Alexander (Troy); his daughters-in-law, Robin of Scottsburg, Indiana, Lorrie Boswell of Scottsburg, Indiana and Melissa Boswell of Scranton, Pennsylvania; and his sister Margaret Whitaker of Newburgh, Indiana. He is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren; twenty-six great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM and on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A rosary was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 7:30 PM at the Collins Funeral Home (465 W McClain Ave, Scottsburg, IN 47170). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the American Martyrs Catholic Church (270 S Bond St, Scottsburg, IN 47170).
Memorial donations can be made in Don's name to American Martyrs Catholic Church, Boys Town, or the Boswell Family Fund with the Scott County Community Foundation c/o Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.
