Florence Powers Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 14, 2025, at the age of 81, Florence Powers of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Irvin Sweet and Elizabeth Sweet (Link); her former husband Edward Fluhr, Sr.; her son Edward Fluhr, Jr.; her brothers, Robert Sweet, Irvin Sweet, Jr., Ricky Sweet and James Sweet; and her close friend Gary Allen.
She is survived by: her children, Edna Robbins (Tim), Reva Atkins (Richard), Paula Howard, Tabatha Pfeiffer (Jeremy), Michael Fluhr (Tina), Andrew Fluhr (Sandy) and Brandon Allen; and her siblings, Herman "Butch" Sweet (Amanda), Patricia "Pat" Amos, Sally Fluhr, Dixie Robinson (Ed) and Deborah Hurtt (Ira "Ike"). She is also survived by twenty-six grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and numerous great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Collins Funeral Home (465 W McClain Ave, Scottsburg, IN 47170). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
