She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Bearl Briner and Pearl C. Casey (Kurtz); her husband Billie B Barnes; her siblings, Charles Kurtz, Geneva Grinstead, Charlotte Mae Miller, Jean H. Hoevener, Robert D. Briner, Betty Gubette and Wilma Philpot; and her granddaughter Jessica Barnes.
She is survived by: her children, Teresa Procelli (James) of Carmel, Indiana and Myron Barnes (Carolyn) of Scottsburg, Indiana; her brother Ronald Briner (Dorothy) of Columbus; her granddaughter Katy Burke (Robert); her great grandchildren, Daniel, Alyssa, Kaytlynn and Abram; and her great great grandchild Wrenlyn.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Collins Funeral Home (465 W McClain Ave, Scottsburg, IN 47170). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial Contributions may be given to Barnes Community Cemetery in c/o Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.
