He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Lowry and Katie Lowry (Evans); and his siblings, Thomas Lowry and Joyce Broady. He is survived by: his wife Susan Lowry; his children, Sharon Lowry, Steven Lowry (Patty) and Jamie Lowry (Jennifer); his siblings, Eric (Nancy), Terry (Dolores), Kevin, Brian Lowry (Melinda), Linda McGlothlin, Martha Tellis (David), Sue Lucas (George, Jr.) and Katy Hutchinson (Tim); and his grandchildren, David Anthony Parker (Rachael), Madeline Howser (Evan), Reese, Andrew Lowry, Stephanie Helium (Jerimiah) and Shane Turner. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in John's name to New Life International or Vienna Baptist Church Building Fund in c/o Collins Funeral Home.
