He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Rider and Vivian Rider; his wife Geraldine Barger; and his siblings, Russell Rider (Brenda), Clyde Rider, Doris Hudson (John), Roberta Wooten (Mason), Kay Turner (Joe) and Helen Rider.
He is survived by: his daughter Anna Richey (Scott) of Scottsburg; his grandchildren, Deven Richey of Scottsburg, Alisha Neal of Austin and Blake Short of Scottsburg; his great grandchildren, Brighten and Madeline Batman of Austin; his brother-in-law Charles Hollan (Cathy); and his sister Ruby Miller. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
