She was predeceased by: her parents, Noah Gay and Addie Gay (Bishop); her husband Albert G.; her daughter Geraldine "Dino" Higdon; her siblings, Kermit Gay, Ida "Idie" Smith, Lillie "Sis" Cornett, Gladys Dailey and Grace Hardin; and her pet Charlie Ryan.
She is survived by: her children, Albert Eugene Hardin, Jr. of Scottsburg, Indiana, Vicki J. Hardin of Scottsburg, Indiana and Matthew Hardin (Linda) of Scottsburg, Indiana; her grandchildren, Rachael N. Hardin, Matthew Lee "Roy" Hardin (Ashly), Taylor M. Edwards (Alex), Ashley M. "Tootie" Hardin (Matt) and Michael Owen Higdon; her great grandchildren, Kylie, Levi, Kason, Mae, Oaklee, Brixleigh, Willow, Pike and Shannon; and her friend Birdie.
