He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Robert Skelton and Elizabeth Skelton; his wife Phyllis Skelton; his brother Patrick Skelton; his grandson Joshua David Caudill; his daughters, Christina Diann Cress (John Buehner) and Dana Leigh Caudill; his brother-in-law William David Lane (Brenda) of Louisville, Kentucky; and his grandchildren, Cameron Carter, Brooklyn McIntosh, Mandy Hughes, Jacob Barrett and Gracie Caudill. He was also cherished by numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The military honors will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Collins Funeral Home (465 W McClain Ave, Scottsburg, IN 47170).
