He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Leon Gardner and Mabel Gardner; his siblings, Leon Gardner Jr., Richard Lee Gardner and Cynthia Lee Gardner; and his son Kevin W. Gardner.
He is survived by: his wife Lou Gardner; his daughters, Michelle Swink and Bernice Wilson; his sister Sharon Buckles; and his grandchildren, Alex, Hannah (Tyler) and Bryton. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Collins Funeral Home (465 W McClain Ave, Scottsburg, IN 47170). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
