He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy Meyer; and his parents, Edward B. Meyer and Bertha Meyer. He is survived by: his children, Grant Meyer (Nicole), Michelle Shoemaker and Taylor Meyer; his grandchildren, Maverick, Valerie, Makenna, Maxwell, Francis, Reagan and Rylee; and his siblings, Betty Butler (Ricky), Thomas "Tommy" Meyer (Joni) and Alma Rose Marks (John). He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, friends and family.
A memorial gathering was held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Ln, New Albany, IN 47150).
