He was predeceased by: his parents, James Henry Mikel and Minnie Pearl Mikel; his former wife Elizabeth Ann Thomas; his wife Charlene Rae Mikel; and his siblings, Aileene, Willis, Joe, Ethel and James.
He is survived by: his children, Pamela K. Grant (Bob), Dennis W. Mikel, Larry J. Mikel (Laura) and Robert A. Mikel (Kristie); and his stepdaughter Angela Isaacs. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
