He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Louise Hawkins (Ratliff) and Russell Hawkins; his brother Robert A. Hawkins; his brother-in-law Dave Rogers; and his sons-in-law, Benjamin Shamy Jr. and Michael Digman.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cynthia Shamy (Dave) of Larwill, Indiana, Susan Clark (Pat) of Edison, Julie Digman of Muncie, Indiana, Julia Jonas (Andrew) of Muncie, Indiana and Kimberly Rodriguez (Oliver) of Pflugerville, Texas.; his grandchildren, Chelsea Shamy-Calder (Hannah), Patrick Clark Jr., Nicholas Clark, Kaitlyn Sager (Cameron), Ashley Smith (Aaron), Jesse Digman (Kayla), Olivia Rodriguez, Alicia Rodriguez, Laci Hale and Logan Hale; his great grandchildren, Christian, Hayden, Azariah, Nathan and Santee; his siblings, Richard E. "Dick" Hawkins (Diana) of Hartford City and Patricia Anne Rogers of Hartford City; Charlie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
