He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Otte and Lona Otte (Hehman); and his siblings, Lester Otte, Harlan Otte, Gerald Otte and Eunice Lutes.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Otte; his children, Jeffrey Otte (Traci Ashley) of North Vernon, Dr. Susan Waltz (Michael) of Nashville and Lisa Cosby (Randy) of North Vernon; his siblings, Merrill Otte, Dennis Otte (Vickie) and Marlis Kidd (Bill); his grandchildren, Tiffany Otte, Katelyn Purdue (Parker), Danielle Hill (Chaz), Ryan Cosby, Paige Bush (Koop), Parker Waltz, Mark Waltz (Teresa) and Katie Stidham (Josh); his great grandchildren, Porter Purdue, Lakelyn Purdue, Ellie Purdue, Sterling Purdue, Adam Waltz (Nyva), Levi Stidham and Miranda Stidham; and his great great grandchild Wynter Waltz.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Spurgeon Funeral Home (206 E Commerce St, Brownstown, IN 47220). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be given to Whites Chapel Cemetery or St. Paul Lutheran Church, Borchers Cemetery.
