He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Scales Sr. and Mary Catherine Myers Scales; his brother John W. Scales Jr.; and his granddaughter Jannessa Ikerd. He is survived by: his wife Robin Scales; his children, Mark Scales (Madeline) of Seymour, Erin Ikerd (Lee) of Williams and Amy Stewart (Cecil) of Louisville, Kentucky; his siblings, Michael Scales, Elizabeth Scales and Janie Broadnax (Phil); his grandchildren, Jalen Scales (Victoria Dunno), Jayvin Ikerd, Madisyn Scales, Kendall Scales, Brendyn Scales and Toni Moore; his great grandchildren, Victoria Evans and James Evans; and his sisters-in-law, Kim Mellencamp and Janine VonDielingen. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Voss and Sons Funeral and Cremation Services (316 N Chestnut St, Seymour, IN 47274). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made in Bobby's memory to the American Cancer Society.
