She was predeceased by: her parents, Audley Stearns and Grace Stearns (Cannon); her spouse Thomas Eugene Zech; and her siblings, Don, Fred Stearns, Helen Hooker DeCamp, Alice Edmondson, Marilyn McIntosh and Linda Lutes.
She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey Zech (Allison), Karen Fleming of Jupiter, Cynthia Hill and Stacey of Indianapolis; her sister Sandra Gillespie of North Vernon; and her grandchildren, Mandy Pike, Marissa Norris, Alex Fleming, Ashley Zech, Carson and Henry Hill. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Zion Baptist Church (3740 W County Rd 200 S, North Vernon, IN 47265).
