He was predeceased by: his parents, Jake Lakins and Margaret Lakins. He is survived by: his children, Brian Lakins (Sally) and Carissa Lakins; his grandchildren, Deanna, Kira, Katie, Chase, Blade and Nadia; and his sister Bobbie Caplinger.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Voss and Sons Funeral and Cremation Services (316 N Chestnut St, Seymour, IN 47274). The military honors was held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery (1415 N Gate Rd, Madison, IN 47250).
