He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Bloom and Virginia Hatfield Bloom; and his siblings, Mark Bloom, Sheila Wilson, Donna Sue Proffit, Jane Harbrueger and Sherry Benefield.
He is survived by: his wife Melvina Bloom of Seymour; his children, Towanna Bloom of Seymour, David L. Bloom, Jr. (Leeann) of Seymour and Kevin A. Bloom (Kayla Whalen) of Seymour; his sister Brenda Moore (Bloom) of Seymour; his uncle Ronnie; and his aunt Betty Plummer. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
