She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Stahl and Ruth Mitschke Stahl; her husband John L. Frey; her siblings, Juanita, Ervin and James Stahl; and her son-in-law Jeff Green.
She is survived by: her children, Robert Frey (Linda), Angela Green and Melinda Backes (Troy); and her grandchildren, John Frey (Jayne), Sarah Ryan (Sean), Kirsten Frey, Rachel Green, Stephanie Green, Blake Backes and Tyler Backes. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (605 S Walnut St, Seymour, IN 47274). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be given in Doris's memory to Immanuel Lutheran Church or School, Trinity High School, or donor's choice.
