Elke Scherpe Bridge Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Elke Scherpe Bridge (Seymour, Indiana), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 11, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hans-Alvin Scherpe and Emma Scherpe; and her brother Hans-Jurgen. She is survived by: her husband Will Norman Bridge Jr.; her daughters, Christina "Chris" Gingery (Nelson) and Eike Scherpe Bridge; her grandchildren, Dustin Gingery, Reagan McGhee (Tyler), Aspen Eckhart (Ben) and Will Bridge; and her sisters-in-law, Karen Crane and Margot Scherpe.
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Old Tribune Building (100 St Louis Ave, Seymour, IN 47274).
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Meals on Wheels Inc., P.O. Box 80, Seymour, IN 47274.
