He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Jones and Stella Mae Jones (Spurlock); his wife Alberta Jones (Miller); his great grandchild Hudson Donovan Conn; and his brothers, Henry, Jerry, Ray and Floyd Jones, Jr..
He is survived by: his daughters, Belinda Shelton (David), Debbie Gail Shaw (Jeremy), Melissa Amick (William), Patricia Bowman (Gary) and Peggy Carter (Colby); and his sisters, Mildred Laws, Helen Murphy (Garland) and Eva Barker (Joe). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Voss and Sons Funeral and Cremation Services (316 N Chestnut St, Seymour, IN 47274). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Riverview Cemetery (1603 Shields Ave, Seymour, IN 47274).
Memorial contributions in Elmer's honor may be made out to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
