He was predeceased by: his parents, Ervin Murphy and Mary Lahne Murphy; his wife Wanda Sue Findley Smith; his children, Lance Smith and Terri Clevenger; and his siblings, Delores Potter, Lois Brendle, Jerry and Bill Murphy.
He is survived by: his children, Teresa Perry (Doug) and Bill Lynn Smith (Betty); and his siblings, David Murphy (Eileen) and Evelyn Bowling (Clyde). He is also survived by his eleven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be given in Buck's memory to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
