We are sad to announce that, on September 3, 2022, at the age of 79, James E. Murphy of Seymour, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles "Peck" Murphy and Verna Murphy (Keller); his brother Frank Alan; his siblings-in-law, Jude Barnthouse, Norma Murphy and Janet Murphy; and his nephew Chuck Brock.
He is survived by: his children, Byron D. Murphy of Seymour, IN and Jami N. Weichman (Brian) of Columbus, IN; his grandchildren, Allison N. Weichman and Zachary J. Weichman; his siblings, Kathryn Barnthouse of Seymour, IN, Lindia Brock of Seymour, IN, Richard Murphy of Seymour, IN, Robert Murphy (Shirley) of Columbus, IN, Roy "Arky" Murphy of Seymour, IN and Harold "Buddy" Murphy of Seymour, IN; and his friend Rick Hines. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and many other extended family.
Donations given in memory of Sonny may be given to the Jackson County Humane Society or the Uniontown Cemetery.
