He was predeceased by: his parents, Ervin Murphy and Mary Murphy (Lahne); his granddaughter Andrea Nicole Murphy; his siblings, Bill Murphy and Lois Brendel; and his sister-in-law Doris Murphy.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Murphy; his children, Debra Murphy, Kevin Murphy, Patricia Edington (Steve), Lori Wait (David) and Bradley Murphy; his grandchildren, Coley Zornes, Caleb Rumph, Kenzie Rumph, Jeremy Murphy, Evan Murphy, Austin Edington, Kory Wait, Quinton Wait, Carter Wait, Brittany Johnson (Sabastian) and Brianna Akers (Michael); his great grandchildren, Lainey Thompson, Colton Pennington, Wyatt Fordice, Grayson Sample, Regan Sample, Skylee Murphy, Haislee Murphy and Jameson Rumph; his stepgrandchildren, Alivia, Aria and Macie Johnson; and his siblings, Glenn, David, Delores, Evelyn and Sharon.
