She was predeceased by: her parents, Clebert "Bill" and Helen Kinney (Foster); her sister Sandra Kuehn; and her pets, Onyx and Koe.

She is survived by: her spouse Jerry Owens; her children, Shelley Turner (Mark), Bill Owens (Trisha) and Kenyo; her grandchildren, Kristin, Kyle Turner, Niki Wilson and Ashley Owens; her great grandchild Brooklynn Wilson; and her brother C. D. Kinney (Susan). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was on the Girls' Inc board, Greater Seymour Chamber of Commerce, and a former member of the Schneck Foundation.
