He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Wessel and Mary Wessel (Hehman); and his wife Rosalyn Stuckwish. He is survived by: his daughters, Patty Wischmeier (Roger) of Seymour and Tammy Martindale (David) of Brownstown; his grandchildren, Jessica Bailey (Chris) of North Vernon, John Wischmeier (Cheyenne) of California, Jordan Wessel (Kelli) of Mitchell, Megan Martindale of Columbus and Kyle Martindale (Caasie) of Brownstown; his great grandchildren, Braden Bailey, Coltin Bailey, Lexi Wischmeier, Ivey Wischmeier, Shayla Wessel, Gavan Wessel, Wisen Jimenez, Annelle Jimenez, Caysen Robertson, Karlyn Martindale and Cohen Martindale; and his sister-in-law Nancy Stuckwish of Vallonia.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church (1165 E County Rd 400 S, Brownstown, IN 47220).
Memorials may be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Wegan Parsonage Fund, Lutheran Community Home, or Trinity Lutheran High School.
