He is survived by: his mother Loretta Schafer (Szlay) of Bonita Springs, FL; his close friend Carolyn Ellington of Seymour; his children, Jen Schafer Gabehart (Chris) of Mooresville, NC and Isaac Schafer of Seymour; his siblings, Bryan Schafer (Lisa) of Blue Ash, OH, Scott Schafer (Jeanne) of South Bend, IN and Renee Williams (Buddy) of Auburn, AL; and his grandchildren, Leona and Fletcher Gabehart.
