Steven left this world on September 23, 2025 at the age of 78, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hilda Smith and Woody Starr; his wife Linda J. Starr; his brother Mike Starr; his stepsisters, Pixie Otte and Carol Guiles; and his siblings-in-law, Jerry Otte, Bud Sweeney and Vicki Sweeney.
He is survived by: his children, Judy Vance (Jeff), John Starr (Stephanie) and Jodi Starr; his siblings-in-law, Donna Starr, Bobbi Garland (Harold) and Butch Isaacs (Brenda); his grandchildren, Jordyn Cox (Michael), Kayla Herr (Daniel), Brooke Snodgrass (Austin), Joshua Vance, Jacob Vance (Kylie) and Lily Starr; and his great grandchildren, Kennadi Black, Kylie and Wyatt Cox.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 29th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Voss and Sons Funeral and Cremation Services (316 N Chestnut St, Seymour, IN 47274). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Riverview Cemetery (1603 Shields Ave, Seymour, IN 47274).
Memorial contributions in Steven's honor may be made out to Honeytown Christian Church.
