He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Gene Compton and Rosemary Compton (Gallagher); and his son Joshua Compton. He is survived by: his children, Shannon Roy (Scott) of Shelbyville, Sarah Raison (Jon) of Shelbyville, Jamie Ott (Doug) of Shelbyville and Buddy Compton (Katie Jones) of Atlanta, Georgia; his grandchildren, Coty Roy, Tyler Jones, Lilly Raison, Jason Ott and James Ott; and his great grandchildren, Ava, Tylee, Averie Jones, Allison and Lucas Roy.

Memorial contributions can be made to Riley Children's Hospital or Shelby County Cancer Association, in care of the funeral home.
