He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Bennett and Betty Higdon (Huzzie); his brother Scott Logston; and his stepbrother Ron Higdon. He is survived by: his sons, Gary Bennett, Jr., Matthew Bennett (Kellie) and Kyle Bennett; his grandchildren, Alexsis, Zavier, Cameron, Brynlee, Brody, Mackenzie, Dylan and Hudson; his siblings, Beverly Reinhardt (Russell) and Johnny Higdon; his stepbrother Bob Higdon (Cindy); his half-brothers, Greg Bennett and Jeff Bennett; and his friend Walter LaFave. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Murphy - Parks Funeral Services (703 S Harrison St, Shelbyville, IN 46176). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
