He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Norman Gaddis and Anna Lucille Gaddis (Adkins); his wife Deborah Gaddis (Caudill); his children, Melissa Petro (Eric) of Carmel, Troy Gaddis (Kimberley) of Shelbyville and Travis Gaddis (Amanda) of Indianapolis; his brother Gail Gaddis of Shelbyville; and his grandchildren, Camrin Petro, Simon Petro and Willow Gaddis.
