He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry K. Carter, Sr. and Annie Marie Carter (Dunn); his wife Hazel Lucille Carter (Evans); his children, Candy Carter and Billy Carter; and his siblings, Harvey Carter, Walter Carter, John Carter, Doris Scott and Sarah Maynard.

He is survived by: his children, Linda Jones of Shelbyville, Rhonda Childers of Shelbyville and Larry Carter of Las Vegas; and his brothers, Ralph Carter of Waldron and Harry K. Carter, Jr. of Indianapolis. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Jimmy Carter Memorial Fund, in care of the funeral home.
