He was predeceased by: his parents, Gene Allen Burns and Marguerite Burns (Thurman); and his sister Janet Plunkett. He is survived by: his brother Ralph W. Burns (Rebecca); his nieces and nephews, Amy Bye (Tony), Andrew Burns (Renae), Rebecca Hattery (Jason), Timothy Plunkett (Jenna) and Amanda Yockey (DeWayne); and his brother-in-law Stephen Plunkett (Janet). He is also survived by several great-nieces and great-nephews, and one great-great-niece.
