He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Roberts and Evelyn Roberts (Davis); and his brothers, Charles Roberts and Willard Roberts. He is survived by: his wife Linda Dixon (Bell); his children, Lorri Jones (Moe) of Shelbyville, Ernest Dixon of Shelbyville, Mary Jones (Douglas) of Shelbyville and Smiley Dixon Jr. of Shelbyville; his siblings, Rodger Dixon (Mary) of Spencerville, William Roberts of Marion, Bernice Stacy (Lee) of Knightstown, Patty Sayre (Kelly) of Greenfield and Sandy Collins (Ronnie) of Greenfield; and his nephew Jeff Rice of Kentucky. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
