It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sylvester Ezekiel Cooper of Shelbyville, Indiana, who passed away on December 31, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James T. Cooper and Florabell Cooper (Lewis). He is survived by: his wife Janet Ann VanScyoc Cooper (Shortridge); his children, Robin Miller (Timothy) of Midland, TX, Bill Cooper (Robin) of Muncie, Martha Jones of Muncie, Diane Essex (Jack) of Shelbyville, Geary VanScyoc (Karen) of Sheridan, Carla VanScyoc of Shelbyville, Sue Goodrich (John) of Shelbyville, Jon VanScyoc (Reyounora) of Las Vegas, Cheri Justus of Shelbyville, Brenda Browning of Mize, Mississippi, Steve VanScyoc (Elizabeth) of New Palestine and Amy Daniel (Shannon) of Shelbyville; and his sister Louise Griffin of Muncie. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
