She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Tirey and Doris Tirey; and her siblings, Dan Tirey, Paul "Cork" Tirey, Mick Glenn and Michele Byers.
She is survived by: her husband Stephen E. Cox; her children, Kelli Killen and Stephen Cox (Angel Tyra); her siblings, Marsha Robinson and Ricki Tirey; her grandchildren, Eliana, Amelia, Bret, Harley, Whitney and Noah; and her great grandchildren, Abram, Harlan "Blue", Israel, Henry, John and Audrie.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hortonville United Methodist Church (20590 Horton Rd, Sheridan, IN 46069).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Denise's honor to the ALS Association.
