He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold E. Godby and Mary Alice Godby (Bowen); his grandson Cameron Godby; his stepgrandson Eric Evasic; and his brother Neal Godby.
He is survived by: his significant other Melanie Godby (Simmons); his children, Bobby Godby (Sarah), Chuck Godby (Kim), Joe Godby (Lisa) and Carrie Pitts (Bryan); his siblings, Jim Godby and Betty Ayers; his stepmother Rosemary Godby; and his sisters-in-law, Marge Godby and Paula Simmons. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and his dogs and cat.
