He was predeceased by: his parents, Ross Pettit and Eunice Pettit (Mabry). He is survived by: his childhood sweetheart Carolyn Ann Pettit; his children, Jim Pettit (Debra) and Teri Hall (Roger); his grandchildren, J. R. Pettit, Chris Pettit, Kirbie Woods and Logan Woods; and his great grandchildren, Jasmine, Chloe and Ross.
