As Melinda departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Melinda. Though Melinda may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her brother Kevin Gilbert. She is survived by: her parents, Kenneth Caywood and Deborah Darlene Gilbert (Stout); and her sibling's children, Christopher Michael Gilbert (Karen) and Kayla Gilbert House (Benjamin).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Kercheval Funeral Home (306 E 10th St, Sheridan, IN 46069). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be presented to the Sheridan First Baptist Church 205 East 3rd Street, Sheridan, Indiana 46069.
