We bid farewell to William C. Christner of Shipshewana, Indiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 13, 2025 at the age of 73. William touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Christian Christner and Fanny Christner (Schlabach); and his sister Edna Hostetler (Dan). He is survived by: his wife Esther Miller; his children, Loretta Miller (Gary) of Shipshewana, Norman Christner (Esther) of Shipshewana and Jerry Christner (Sarah) of Shipshewana; his grandchildren, Nathan Miller (Candace), Jaylon Miller (Alysha), Sheldon Miller, Mariah Day (Elijah), Caleb Christner (Crystal), Austin Christner (Amy), Cory Christner (Julie Miller), Titus Christner, Lia Christner, Delila Hershberger (Thomas), Tyler Christner (Abigail Reckers), Alex Christner and Hadassah Christner; and his siblings, Amos Christner (Fannie) of Delhi, IA and Mary Miller (Ferman) of Goshen. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at 705 N Morton St, Shipshewana, IN 46565. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at the East Barren Cemetery (6854 W 200 N, Shipshewana, IN 46565).
